August 10 Cosplay Tournament of Champions: Fourth Stage in Davao

The location for Cosplay Tournament of Champions: Fourth Stage for Davao may have been erroneous but going to the event was definitely not a mistake and is one experience any Davao otaku should cherish. The tournament was not held in SM Lanang but was held in SM City Ecoland instead. 3 pairs of cosplayers compete to represent Davao in the nationwide skit tournament. The first group was a Monster Hunter cosplay and their skit involved two hunters, a Qurupeco Gunner who fights like a monk and a Rathalos Great Sword Warrior, fighting over a Mega Potion.The second group features Blazblue characters Jin Kisaragi and Noel Vermillion. The last group played out a mecha battle between Accel World characters Black Lotus and Cyan Pile.The Monster Hunter group emerged victorious and will represent Davao in the tournament. There were also a lot of solo participants who donned their cosplays but it was Tyrael from Diablo III who won first place. The event also featured an exclusive "Meet and Greet" with famous Luzon cosplayers Miguel Mercado and Jin Joson.

April 2013-Botebakal Project @ Alleycat Tea House

Davao based Tea House, Alleycat (http://www.facebook.com/alleycat.teahouse ) had its soft opening last April 16, followed by a grand opening later that month. It got Botebakal Project's attention for its unique combination of drinks, visual arts, literature, music, and of course, cats.

Up Dharma Down in Tienda del Mercado

Up Dharma Down is introduced as one of the many promising bands that restored everyone's hope for Original Pinoy Music. Davao had the pleasure of their presence last May 25, 2013 at Tienda del Mercado - an open weekend night food and drink destination - at Juna Subdivision, Matina. The show started at 7:00 pm with opening acts "Circus" from Manila as well as Davao's very own - "Sky Marines" and ended until 12:00 am with Up Dharma Down making their appearance at 10:00 pm.

BoteBakal Project's Kimura takes a popcorn seat @ Binisaya sa Cinematheque

Binisaya is an independent film exhibition at the Cinematheque, Palma Gil Street, Davao City last September 8, 2012, 1:30pm to 7:30pm.
They were aiming to:
"ensure that independent film making will continue to move an audience that demands films that will speak for and in behalf of their experience"

Films featured tackled on contemporary issues of this country such as poverty, rape, love, prostitution and many others.

Botebakal Project's Kimura covers Megadeth Live In Manila

Megadeth pays Manila a visit to promote their new album "Th1rt3en". Megadeth's frontman Dave Mustaine finds it fit to name the new album as such because he was born on September 13, it was their 13th album and most notably, he picked up an axe at age 13.
