Davao based Tea House, Alleycat (http://www.facebook.com/alleycat.teahouse ) had its soft opening last April 16, followed by a grand opening later that month. It got Botebakal Project's attention for its unique combination of drinks, visual arts, literature, music, and of course, cats.
Alleycat is located at Door#07 The Site, Davao Central Convenience Store, Inc. , E. Jacinto, Ext. Street Cor. V Mapa Street, 8000 Davao City.

One of the many things that we find commendable about this place is that it encourages its customers to be more environment-conscious. Alleycat Tea House includes a special cookie treat to every dine-in purchase because unlike take-out orders which make use of plastic containers that are more likely to contribute to pollution, dine-in drinks are served in sanitary glass cups.
The first floor's display includes vinyls and a player that the place uses on certain occasions, while the second floor has a wide collection of books both fiction and non-fiction. A huge selection of art materials and doodle/sketch pads are also made available for the customers enjoyment.
Digital artworks by local artists and fanarts by regulars are displayed there as well. The 2nd floor also serves as a venue for movie marathons whenever such events need to happen.
Aside from their business aspect, the place aims to partner with existing Davao based art groups and book reader circles for future events in order to help promote and contribute to the causes of these organizations.
